Policy Docs
SANTE seeks to base its work on relevant policy documents, which are setting examples for the way forward for health enhancing physical activities. Documents such as EU’s Physical Activity Guidelines and the EU White Paper on Sport are seen as inspirational points of orientation.
Also national and organizational guidelines and strategies might be inspiring for other SANTE partners. Therefore, please forward such documents to ISCA Project Managers; Saska Benedicic Tomat (sbt@isca-web.org) or Anders Tharsgaard (at@isca-web.org), and they will be uploaded to this section.
EU White Paper on Sport
This White Paper focuses on the societal role of sport, its economic dimension and its organisation in Europe, and on the follow-up that will be given to this initiative.
"Sport is part of every man and woman's heritage and its absence can never be compensated for." – Pierre de Coubertin

EU Physical Activity Guidelines
The EU Physical Activity Guidelines give clear recommendations to policy makers on how to create better and healthier societies. The guidelines are exceptional in their nature, as they are very cross-cutting across sectors such as Sport, Health, Education, Transport, Environment, Urban planning and Senior citizens. Equally important, the guidelines are very specific, with measurable suggestions for each sector.

The Treaty of Lisbon
The Treaty of Lisbon paves the way for a real European dimension in sport. New provisions enables the EU to support, coordinate and supplement the actions of Member States, promoting neutrality and transparency in sporting competitions and cooperation between sporting bodies. It also protects the physical and moral integrity of sportsmen and women, with particular emphasis on the young.
