SANTE Workshop in Rimini, 15. – 17.10.2010

Engaging Youth/adolescents in physical activity using health as a brand “Lets MOVE!”

SANTE workshop in Rimini met 3 specific aims:

• targeted interactive presentations and work in specific thematic areas: kids activities and their healthy life style
• presented of the UISP Good Practice and organizational Networking methodologies
• presented the general outlines and goals of the UISP national campaign “Lets MOVE!”

SANTE workshop was organized by SANTE Partners UISP from Italy

SANTE Workshop leaders from Italy gave to participants general outlines and goals of the national campaign: “a healthy lifestyle to combat physical inactivity and obesity in children and parents”.  They share UISP` approaches to social action for the right to health. Participants found out how UISP is working with other Institutional partners. Caterina Lombardo from the University of Rome explained the structure of the evaluation of program effectiveness: survey instruments and results achieved in last few years.

 

Beatrice Andalò and Fabrizia De Meo led the workshop on educational interventions about methodology and proposals for game and physical activity.
