SANTE Seminar in Cassino, Italy Presentations & Pictures available

SANTE is an ambitious effort of 17 partners across Europe representing sport organizations, esteemed universities, businesses and local government. The partners have united resources in the SANTE project to address and act upon the contemporary challenge of improving Europeans’ health.

SANTE partners have chosen the development and recognition of Human Resources in HEPA as one of the most important topic for further development.

Platform for development and recognition of Human Resources in HEPA

SANTE project welcomes you to join the Platform for development and recognition of Human Resources in HEPA and the thematic seminars which will be held in Cassino in Italy from 31st January to 2nd February, organized by one of SANTE Partners, University in Cassino. We will together constitute an important component of the SANTE project and serve the overall aim of debating health challenges and HEPA Human Resources of a European wide nature.

More concretely, the seminar on HEPA Human Resources seeks to meet three specific aims:

  • Secure a common understanding of the current situation on HEPA Human Resources in Europe, including statistics, barriers and opportunities for improving the status of HEPA Human Resources. HEPA leaders/trainers are the core of the promotion of a better understanding of health-enhancing physical activity. They give a stronger voice to physical activity promotion in health policy and in other relevant sectors in Europe, including support for workforce development.
  • Analyze the vocational education and training (VET) strategies implemented in the HEPA sector both at national and European level as ground for the development of specific Life Long Learning strategies and shared occupational standards;
  • Present best practices from the daily work of HEPA leaders, including both theoretical and practical perspectives. HEPA leaders develop, support, and disseminate effective strategies and multi-sectoral approaches in order to promote transparent and flexible education and training system based on clear learning and career pathways and respond to the VET and labour market challenges;
  • Discuss future perspectives and expected trends including the possibility of innovative partnerships, e.g. with actors traditionally not involved in the sport for all sector. Together with other relevant institutions and organizations, improve coordination in physical activity promotion across sectors and administrative structures.

The Seminar is expected to attract project managers and political leaders from SANTE partners, as organisations and individuals with interest and experience in health-enhancing physical activity,  health professionals who deal with HEPA Human Resources (professionals and volunteers) as a means to strengthen and maintain HEPA Human Resources, decision makers and policy designers in sport and health policy, sport scientists and sport managers.
